Instructional Coaches
English/Language Arts (ELA)
Marscida Kinlaw

As a proud graduate of The Mecca - Howard University, I hold a degree in English, along with a Master’s from Mercer University and a Specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University. These are reflections of my commitment to lifelong learning and educational excellence.
After working at ACOG, Turner Broadcasting, and Mercer University, I became an English educator in 1999, and I have been a dedicated member of the CSK community since 2014. My work as an Instructional Coach centers on supporting teachers in designing rigorous, engaging learning opportunities that inspire students to think deeply and express themselves confidently. My passion for the power of language and literature drives everything I do in education.
Beyond the schoolhouse, I’m an adventurer at heart, drawn to experiences like white water rafting, skydiving, and outdoor exploration. I also find joy in live music, travel, museums, and Mediterranean cuisine, all of which spark my creativity and continually remind me that the world is vast and should be embraced, experienced and enjoyed.
Mathematics
Shatoya Green

I am a proud product of the APS school system! Born and raised in the Ben Hill community of Southwest Atlanta, I am a graduate of Benjamin E. Mays High School’s Academy of Math and Science. I continued my education by earning degrees from both Alabama State University and Georgia State University.
With 13 years in education—11 as a high school mathematics teacher and 2 as a mathematics instructional coach— I am a passionate mathematics educator and leader who has always known education is my calling. Coming from a long line of educators, I am deeply committed to making math engaging, meaningful, and relevant for every student. Outside of work, I enjoy shopping and cheering on the Atlanta Falcons.
As a hands-on instructional coach and AP Coordinator, I work in mathematical partnership with teachers and students to promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence in mathematics. Known for being empathetic and dedicated to excellence, I find my greatest joy in seeing students light up with excitement when they “get it” and begin to see themselves as capable mathematicians.
